Paige and Dan were introduced by mutual friends, and Dan proposed on the beach in Florida with 4 of their closest friends there to celebrate with them. Their favorite things about their relationship are the fun and silly times they spend together. Paige said she loves Dan’s sense of humor and his lovable personality. Dan loves Paige’s outgoing nature.
They both described their wedding day as fun, exciting, and beautiful. I asked them when they look back at their wedding day, what they want to remember most. They both want to remember those special moments with each other and their closest friends and family. Dan and Paige were married in Syracuse, Indiana at the Oakwood Resort on Lake Wawasee. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding on top of a hill overlooking the lake.
The girls wore the cutest bridesmaid dresses that tied in perfectly to the fun, outdoor lake theme. Paige and Dan chose to see each other before the wedding ceremony. I always leave this up to the Bride and Groom. Because they decided to have a first look, Ashley and I were able to get some cute first look images. We also had time to go exploring a little around the lake to find some unique places to take portraits.
The reception was definitely fun and exciting. One of my favorite parts of the reception, were the table card centerpieces. Each table was named something that tied into Paige and Dan’s story, and the back of each card included a short description explaining the connection. I loved this idea. While taking the reception detail shots, I found myself walking around the room reading every card! They told so many fun and interesting stories that all played a part in their journey leading up to this wedding day.
Their wedding date also happened to be Ashley, my assistant’s, anniversary. At the time, her husband was overseas with the military so I was happy to spend the evening celebrating with her. We had a little toast while speed eating our dinner (if you ever see us at a wedding, we have to eat and run most of the time) and then back to work we went. I am sure she would have much rather spent it with her husband, but I think I was an okay alternative date, she even got to have cake! 🙂
